Low Throes was formed in West Seattle by songwriter Tim Mudd and producer Tom Rickell, whose fascination with noir atmosphere, character-driven narratives, and cinematic sound design led to the band’s unique Noir Pop sound. Drawing on influences from Morphine, to Nick Cave, to Chris Isaak, the band translates fleeting observations into evocative songs for shadowed streets and restless hearts.
